John and Gray have been working on the bicycle component of the automaton over the past week with great results. With their permission I use their images and description of the process below:

They started with an old Pashley classic loop frame.

And spent some time stripping and cleaning it up.

They then made a base for the display from some old boards found in/near/on top of Ed’s the garage.
