Alice Bygrave (whose ‘Quick Change’ cycling skirt is one of the first garments that we have made) lodged her patent for the ‘quick change’ cycling skirt four times!
The first patent was lodged in Britain on 1st November 1895 (and accepted on 6th December 1895).
She then lodged a Canadian patent on 4th December 1895.
The third patent was a German one on 13th December 1895.
She also has a US patent lodged Dec 17th 1895 and accepted 25 Feb 1896.
